Welcome to our New Saturn Remedy Program at the San Diego HoPE Center.

This New Monthly Membership includes the following remedies to be performed at the San Diego HoPE Center each week (~ 4 weeks per month):

*Fire Lab for Saturn and Hanuman

*Abhishekam (anointing ritual and offering) for Saturn and Hanuman

*E-mail sharing lessons, mythology, astrology and remedies for Saturn

*Feeding of the crows at the San Diego HoPE Center

We are excited to offer an new monthly membership for those people interested in having Saturn Remedies performed on their behalf.  This program is open to anyone and is especially designed for people who are currently under the strong influence of Saturn. See http://www.sdhopecenter.org/node/399

This includes people in Sade Sati (7.5 years of Saturn), Saturn Major/Minor period, Saturn Ashtami, or any other major Saturn influence in the birth chart.   Here is a quick explanation of each of these relationships with Saturn:

Sade Sati

Sade Sati, also known as the 7.5 years of Saturn, is a special transit of Saturn which strongly affects 3 Zodiac signs.  Saturn moves through each Zodiac sign every 2.5 years. It spends a long time in each sign and has the ability to really influence your life.

Sade Sati is a special connection between the current movement of Saturn in relationship to the placement of your natal Moon (where the Moon was placed at the time of your birth).  If Saturn is in the same Zodiac sign as your natal Moon or placed in the Zodiac sign on either side of your natal Moon, you are experiencing Sade Sati.

For example, Saturn is currently in the sign of Libra.  Therefore, the Moon signs of Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio are in Sade Sati.  This includes the birthstars of Uttara Phalguni (Virgo), Hasta, Chitra, Swati, Vishaka, Anuradha and Jyestha.

Saturn Major/Minor Period

In Vedic Astrology there is a cycle of planetary influence based on the position of your Moon at the time of birth.  Each of the nine planets has a dominating influence on your life for a specific number of years.  This is referred to as your Major Planetary Influence or Dasha.  Each of these Major periods is broken into Minor periods or Bhukti periods.  If you are currently in Saturn Major or Minor Period, the lessons of Saturn will be quite prevalent in your life.

Saturn Ashtami

Saturn Ashtami is a term used to describe the relationship of Saturn when it is positioned 8 (astronomical) houses away from your natal Moon. Saturn is currently in the sign of Libra, therefore, those people who have a natal Moon in the sign of Pisces are experiencing Saturn Ashtami.  In Vedic Astrology, the 8th house symbolizes challenges and transformations.  Thus, Saturn Ashtami can represent a time of intense lessons from Saturn.  We will discuss the lessons of Saturn Ashtami in greater deal throughout the month.
